Elizabeth midford
Shitty 2AM rant on the Misogyny that Lizzy has faced since the very start but it's the perspective of someone who has witnessed the horrors of Misogyny in Spanish speaking fandom
I should mention that English is not my first language and I'm not very good with it either, so most of this was done with Google Translate and I tried to correct what I could, I hope it's at least readable
I've never seen enough people point out the fact that Elizabeth midford character also defies the "Girlboss" archetype, she is definitely physically strong and can protect herself, but she is A 15 YEAR OLD GIRL, who manages her emotions like someone her age would and also exhibits many neurodivergent traits. I have always been bothered by the way physical strength is misunderstood as a "girlboss" trait, the simplest example I can think of is Ran Mao, she possesses brutal and superhuman strength. but it doesn't make her a girlboss, in case anyone forgets Ran is a girl who barely reaches 18 years old and is exploited by an opium trader who also seems to be involved in human trafficking (implied in the manga). Is she really a girlboss? girlboss when her physical strength is more of a requirement to SURVIVE while working as an assassin and sometimes seductress (which u can tell she doesn't enjoy much)? Obviously Ranmao's social reality is very different as she is a woman of color from the underworld, unlike Elizabeth, who is a white woman from the nobility. However, her physical strength has always been a double-edged sword for herself. Lizzy longs to get married, like any other girl her age, she longs to be protected but says goodbye to it the moment Ociel returns.
I may seem a bit exaggerated, but the way your sociocultural background affects the way you perceive and treat a character has me slightly traumatized, I wish I could give proof of the horrible and degrading treatment that Lizzy has received from the Spanish-speaking fandom.
I am a trans boy of color who grew up watching my female relatives being encouraged to rip their hearts out of their chest from the moment they turned 8yo for the simple goal of caring for and protecting my cis male relatives. household chores, cooking for them, washing their clothes, taking accountability for their actions. Their freedom and childhood as little girls were taken away from them. but none of that was ever valued, I never saw anyone recognize it as sacrifice.
Elizabeth is not a woman of color, nor does she have those demands as a woman of nobility, but she SACRIFICED stuff to try to protect Ciel on her own way, I have seen many people underestimate her backstory in book of Atlantic because "High heeled shoes aren't reason to cry." Everything Lizzy has done for Ciel is devalued, all her suffering has been minimized. losing so many family members in such a short time, losing the boy you were raised to marry your entire life. People truly forget that lizzy is still just a child, that she has the right to mourn everything she lost that day. She had to mourn publicly as a noble girl, she probably heard that she would never be able to get married or would never achieve happiness, I've never seen any adult to stop and think about how heartbreaking and soul shattering that must have been as a 11yo
I have seen how EVERY thing Lizzy does is judged. how her behavior, personality and temperament are criticized. but other characters like Soma just get a pass while doing the same stuff, but this does not just stop at gender, but also at age. people HATE girls and afabs who act like children when they are literally CHILDREN.
How is it possible that Lizzy has faced such harsh judgment from the fandom when there are other characters like Maam red, Lau, Grell, Undertaker who are universally ADORED or atleast respected in the fandom.
I love u Elizabeth midford but ur character makes me violently ill omfg

Me Plus You Equals Two [Sylus]
Content: Smut, Biting, Oral Fixation, Oral Sex, Established Relationship, POV Second Person, Reader-Insert
Pronouns: None (AFAB)
Reblogs: Let me know that you enjoy my work and want to see more, so don’t forget to like and reblog (and comment in the tags. I love seeing people’s rambles in the tags)!
Remember: I’ll block you if I catch your ageless or under age (not 18+) ass in my activity! 1800 blocked and counting :)
This work’s concepts, plot and original characters are my own which means I do not allow any sort of creative theft nor do I allow my work to be entered into any sort of A.I. bots. Thank you for respecting my space and boundaries.
Just because you were no longer sick, didn’t mean that you were ready for such a…physical activity. You really couldn’t complain when you did invite him in.
Your hands had found purchase in his hair, as he attached himself to your neck, slowly working his way down.
“You know…you’ve got a bad oral fixation—fu-ah…”
He hummed, kissing the spot he had just marked. “Really? I hadn’t noticed.”
You rolled your eyes, playing into his game. “You bite my hand every chance you get.”
“I don’t think that accounts for anything…” He finally had made his way down to your breast. “But I suppose I’ll make your assumptions a reality.”
He wasn’t as nice as he was, your neck to your breast. He attacked it, marked one up nice as well, while giving the other one a good message before its reckoning. All you could do is writhe in his embrace, letting him indulge himself.
Honestly, having your chest fondled didn’t usually do it for you. Nor did having someone leave trails of their saliva across your skin, but for some reason with Sylus, you’d never felt more aroused.
And he obviously had noticed because as you were beginning to reach your peak, he pulled away.
You pouted, huffing at him. “Really?”
“Were you really going to come without me? Sweetie, I’m hurt.” But then he smirked, “But I supposed we’ll just have to work more on your stamina later. For now, I’ll give you exactly what you want.”
You thought foreplay would either be skipped or basically nonexistent, but once you caught sight of that monster that stood at attention between his legs, you knew that you’d need to come at least once before letting him.
But, as per usual, Sylus had other plans. Plans that of course indulged in his oral fixation. He tasted you again, and again, and again, but never once let you come. Once again, letting him all of his fill. As much as you wanted to get back at him right now, you knew that you weren’t up to it just yet. You’d be better lying in wait and striking when his guard is down.
Oh, you were getting excited just thinking about what you’d do to him.
Sylus grabbed you by your chin, thumb brushing against your lips. “Eyes on me, sweetie. This is going to be a bit…intense.”
He wasn’t exaggerating. You were ready for him, but what you weren’t ready for was the two of your Evols to suddenly tether and amplifying everything.
Your head flew back into the pillows, as a sharp moan was torn from your throat. Sylus was right there, whispering in your ear, messaging your thighs. However, the moment he bottom out, you yanked him away from your neck, meeting his heated gaze with your own.
“Don’t toy with me.”
You knew that Sylus wanted to play with you a bit more, make your orgasm as intense as possible, but that was before your Evols got involved. What was supposed to be slow, methodical pumps became rapid strokes that chase the release the both of you were desperate for. The room echoed with the sound of slapping skin and labored breath, which reached its crescendo when he hit that special spongy spot. Stars blinded you as your entire body tensed up.
Sylus, despite being in the midst of his own release, was still balanced enough to dote on you. “There you go, sweetie. Just let go…” He leaned down, pulling you into a kiss that was softer than what you were expecting.
Once you both had caught your breath, you had resigned to asking him for a wash cloth before just flopping over, but you, once again, forgot who you were dealing with. No, instead of that, Sylus had picked you up, brought you to the bathroom, and was now running a bath.
You hummed with a smile. “You spoil me.”
“Spoil? This is the bare minimum.” He deposited you into the tub, “I haven’t shown you true spoiling just yet.”
Once he had settled in behind you, you kissed the underside of his chin. “Oh, really? I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me.”
“Everything and more, sweetie.”

I have personally seen cases where kids grow up as complete strangers to their heritage especially as is the case with my own cousin in California but that involved multiple factors
1) My aunt was isolated and practically estranged from boricua communities. There is a large latino population in California, yes, but it’s mostly Mexican, not a problem, but it’s drastically different from boricua culture. I cannot describe to you how sad it was to see her express relief at being around her people during holidays for the first time in over a decade.
2) Assimilation and shame was heavily encouraged. My aunt’s MIL, from Mexico, went as far as having her name legally changed to its English equivalent. Over the years since my aunt’s move to the states, there have been multiple incidents where she drastically exaggerated the state of the country and our living conditions (all way before the infrastructure, particularly electricity services, got noticeably Bad) based on sensationalist news articles. It got to the point where she called all of us “idiots” for staying.
Bringing it back to ML
According to a 2019 census, there were 71,500 parisians who reported being born in China, a figure that doesn’t account for descendants of chinese immigrants. That is a far cry from leaving Sabine isolated from her culture. She has ample resources to find and participate in a community of fellow chinese immigrants within the city.
In regards to assimilation and shame, just look at her fucking design and hobbies holy shit. It clearly doesn’t apply to her. As for her english (french?) name, it is a fairly common practice for people from various asian countries to adopt an english name. I’ve seen multiple explanations for this ranging from confucian self naming practices being influenced by exposure to western cultures all the way to workplace culture and convenience. In Sabine’s case, because her chinese name is so similar to her western name, I imagine it’s simply a matter of avoiding the headache of constantly correcting people on the spelling and pronunciation of her chinese name. It sucks that it’s something so many immigrants and even tourists have to do to be addressed respectfully but that’s also worth exploring within the narrative.
Which brings me to why it’s important that we recognize the crew’s intentions and POV when discussing how these characters and dynamics are written. They’re not considering any of these and countless other factors that affect how immigrants and their children interact with their own heritage. They want to be praised and lauded for being “inclusive” and “diverse” simply for commodifying a cultural aesthetic. They have no real concern for the people they’re profiting from or their lives and complexities.
So let’s assume for a moment that despite not being affected by any of the factors that I mentioned influenced my own aunt’s lack of educating my cousin about her culture, that’s still an issue that should be addressed specifically in regards to Sabine’s decisions in raising Marinette rather than pushing the blame onto Marinette for “not expressing interest” and learning on her own. The last few times my cousin has come to visit, we do our best to accommodate her and make her as comfortable as possible but when she inevitably lets it show that she is uncomfortable and would prefer to step away from the situation, my aunt has the nerve to shame her for not liking or participating in her culture. I assure you, my aunt was the only one blaming my cousin as we were all silently judging my aunt as she’s obviously the one responsible for it getting to this point, as we have been doing ever since we knew she wasn’t teaching my cousin spanish. So assuming this is the case with Sabine and Marinette, where Sabine had the means to teach Marinette at the very least the basics, and now Sabine is somewhat resentful of Marinette not figuring it out on her own, that is something that definitely needs to be addressed with close attention and care.
But they won’t.
Sabine is not a chinese immigrant in the interest of other chinese immigrants
Marinette is not a white-passing diaspora child in the interest of other white-passing diaspora children
There is no diversity or representation in this show that isn’t meant to turn them into props to make white men look better, be they fictional or real
That is the issue, not the existence of borderline caricature-esque immigrants or white-passing POC in the real world possibly getting representation. It’s not about them, never has been.

Doll Photography Basics- An Illustrated Guide
Aka: How to Improve Your Doll Pictures in Three Easy Steps
Decided to put together a little basics overview of things that have helped me improve my doll photography, since I've seen this discussion come up a lot lately.
Note: any of these steps can intentionally be bent or broken for a great photo- a great doll picture doesn't have to do any of these things, but keeping these steps in mind will really help improve your photos, and make it easier for you to take pictures you're happy with in the long run.
Step one: Angle
Take photos of your doll from as low an angle as possible, their chest height or lower even. Put them up on a table or stool or something elevated if you have trouble physically getting low. Taking photos of them from a low angle will make the photos look more convincingly scaled and less "doll-like", as well as adding a more dynamic element. This one is easiest to bend or break, but make sure you're doing so intentionally. Be sure to experiment with different angles, even tilting your camera so your doll is at a diagonal in frame, for different vibes.
Bonus: incorporate foreground and background elements in your shot as well as midground (typically the doll). This will give your shot a lot more depth and help to ground it.
Step two: Posing
Arguably the most important step, nothing brings down an otherwise solid photo like a stiff and mannequin-like pose. First, take angle into account, pose your doll while checking the camera's view- most beginner doll photographers make the mistake of posing their doll leaning backwards and almost craning upwards, or even just perfectly straight, which ends up looking like theyre leaning back. Use those slouch joints if you have them, tilt their head down- further- further. Unless you have your doll looking at an airplane or something, you'll want them looking down at a lower angle, even if not looking at the camera. Just trust me on this one. Experiment and try for dynamic poses as well, humans don't often stand very square- twist the torso joint, put more weight on one of their legs than the other, angle their head slightly to the side, put one hand by their face and have the other relaxed at their side- think of how dynamic marble statues look, and the way the artists exaggerate weight distribution and asymmetry to do it. Try replicating that. Don't be disappointed if your doll can only balance standing square. Using a stand is hugely recommended when photographing dolls, you can edit it out later or just minimize it's appearance. A dynamic pose will draw more focus than the stand will. I've even used a tripod and some shoelace to make a very heavy doll strike some fantastic dynamic poses.
Bonus: think of asymmetry and dynamism when it comes to your dolls clothes too! Pay attention to the folds and flow of the fabric, little details make a lot of difference and can showcase the doll's character.
Step three: Lighting
My final suggestion is to play with lighting. Lighting can do an immense amount to impact the mood of a photo. Avoid harsh, direct light, like full sunlight, overhead lighting, and the like. Color can always be corrected in post processing- you don't necessarily have to avoid yellow lights, but having the right color off the bat will make things easier for later you. Aim for diffuse, soft lighting at first, like in a shady spot, on a cloudy day, or with a diffuser (a handkerchief or paper towel will do fine) on your light. Then start experimenting with different lighting types and colors- like rim light, or soft blue! You don't need professional equipment for this, most of my artificially lit photos are taken using a color changing fish tank light or a workshop ring light with some paper taped over it to diffuse it.
Bonus: MacGyver other things for your photos, not just lighting. Have a sheet of textured acetate? Make the doll look like a monet painting by shooting through it. Have a sheet? Excellent, you have a backdrop for portraits. An old mirror? Try making the doll kneel on it and interact with their reflection. I MacGyver almost every one of my doll photoshoots.
(All of these tips can be done with a cell phone, you definitely don't need a special camera. But, a camera can do a lot more things with depth of field and the like. If you do get a camera, I'd recommend a dslr with a decent auto focus, and a 30 or 50mm prime lens for it, with an f stop of 1.8 or so- it'll allow you to get really nice foreground and background blur in your photos.)
Hope this helps!!

How To Get Your Character Models Out Of A Game: Tips And Tricks For Bitches That Have Never Used Blender
(it's me, i'm bitches)
(also ignore how messy that lighting is it's 1am and i should have been asleep hours ago. he's there for proof of concept 💕)
a couple people (specifically @forsaken-constellation and @ratasum) asked for a tutorial on how to rip models out of the game. this is not that, but it is a compilation of resources i used to learn about ripping, blender, and 3d modeling in general. i desperately wanted a post like this to exist when i was trying to figure this out, so here we go! all the resources below are completely free, with the exception of a link to the patreon of the person that created ninjaripper.
disclaimers:
there are probably more efficient ways to do the things i am doing. i watched a tutorial to learn shortcuts and then skipped to character models. if you have tips to add, corrections to make, or other thoughts, please feel free to share! i'll link to your post here. ^^
i do not know if any of this will get your account banned. i've ripped several models, so i'm going to assume it's fine as long as you don't try to make money off of it. use your best judgment, be an adult, etc etc etc
last updated: june 30, 2024
PROGRAMS & WEBSITES
ninjaripper 1.7.1 - there's a newer version on the creator's patreon, presumably with support for newer versions of blender and fewer bugs, but i haven't tried that
blender 2.79 - the import addon that comes with ninjaripper 1.7.1 is outdated for the current version of blender (3.5 as of this post), so 2.79 is needed to combine the .RIP files into a .BLEND (blender) file
noesis - ninjaripper saves your textures as .DDS files, noesis lets you view them and export them as .PNGs
blender 3.5 (optional?) - i just like it better than 2.79. if you're completely new it might not matter to you. all of the tutorials linked later are for later versions, though.
mixamo (optional) - rigs your character for you and lets you put them in Situations (like my guy above.) there's a whole library of free animations and poses you can try!
TUTORIALS
how to use ninjaripper - most of what you need to know about actually ripping the files and using ninjaripper is covered here. do not skip this one.
how to use blender 3.5 - full disclosure i haven't finished this series because it's uhhhh many hours long. but if you are a complete newbie to blender, i do recommend at least the first few videos; you'll learn about shortcuts that will make your life easier, how to unfuck your model when it fucks itself for no reason, and different terms that will help you google things you don't know later on. possibly he even covers some of the things i'm about to link! anyway.
what's a uv map?
how to apply textures
how to apply bump maps (note: for our purposes, you wouldn't add a color ramp node, you would add an image node with your bump map, and attach it to the bump node as the person does in the video)
there should be stuff here about weight painting, cloth physics, emission maps (makes your sylvari glow), and other stuff, but um. i haven't figured those out <3
TIPS
TURN UP YOUR GRAPHICS BEFORE YOU RIP - if you don't, you might end up missing certain textures/glows/etc. HOWEVER, you should turn animations down, because apparently high animation can make your meshes misplace themselves
rip from the character select screen, rather than an instance, because you will have 100 meshes to sort through instead of 1400. i am not exaggerating either of those numbers. if you are new to blender, please love yourself and start with character select.
your textures will be fucked up the first time you try to apply them. this is because the UV maps (the things that tell your textures where to go) of your models are flipped upside down in relation to the texture image. you can flip them back over manually, ooooor you can just flip the entire texture file in something like CSP or photoshop.
for some reason all eyes are red in the texture files. i have not figured out why. i recommend editing the .PNG to have the correct eye color before applying the texture.
that's all i can think of for now - if you have other questions, feel free to shoot them my way, although i can't promise i'll have a straight answer ^^;;
mixamo only works for humanoid characters with tight clothing (or without clothing at all). if you try to use it to rig a charr or asura, or someone with a skirt or big sleeves, you will most likely be disappointed.
2024 edit: sometimes parts of hair meshes just...disappear. i have no idea why. if you can figure it out please let me know LMAO

strawberry kisses
originally a request from @sunshine-on-marz !!
warnings: my old writing (lmao), cute fluff, NO SMUT.
ranboo x gn!reader
︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵
Yes, I was indeed in love with Ranboo. I mean, what can I say. He's kind, incredibly funny and talented, and very pretty. I don't think it's possible for anyone to hate him. Even the first second I met him on stream, I knew in a matter of seconds we would be strong friends.
It was about 4 pm, and Ranboo and I and some other of our friends were bored. Tommy saw an ad for this random farmers market that had a strawberry field on his phone, and starting begging us like a little kid to go. We agreed.
"I haven't been to a strawberry field since I was a kid. Really brings back memories." Tubbo sighed, looking around.
I smiled. "I bet the strawberries back near your childhood home are much better than the strawberries here. English strawberries are usually pretty shit."
The boys laughed at my comment. Tommy punched my shoulder. "Y/n! Stop being mean and calling out your homelands! Long live England!" Tommy exaggerated. We laughed even harder and kept walking across the wet soil beneath us.
I looked over at the quiet Ranboo, as he dazed off looking in the distance. I bit my lip, and I playfully hit him in the arm. "Ran, what's going on with you? You're awfully quiet." T
When I spoke, it looked as if Ran was knocked back to his reality and senses. "U-uh yeah, I'm just thinking. About something." he winced.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Alright..."
Tubbo and Tommy quickly changed the subject, talking about recent games they've enjoyed playing on stream. I still couldn't get a grasp on why they were acting so weird.
We walked for a bit more, talking about random things, when suddenly Phil called Tubbo and Tommy over to come check something out with Charlie about 6 fields over. They both ran over, jumping over strawberry plants as Ran and I laugh at them trying not to step on any growing strawberry flowers, very obviously failing.
Ran and I continued to walk more, when they suddenly stopped in his tracks and exhaled deeply. I looked back at him. "Ran is everything alright-"
I was interrupted by them speaking up softly. "Y/n, love, can we stop for a moment? I need to tell you something."
I blushed at the nickname. "U-uh yeah, of course! What's up?" I said, coming closer to him.
"I think I'm in fucking love with you, y/n. I can't help but admire you. I love everything about you. Your face, your lips, your smile, your hands, fucking. everything. You're perfect to me, and I've wanted to say this to you for a while. If you don't like me back, that's okay, but I needed for you to know." He rushed out his words, but every single thing he said felt so.. out of this world. I've been waiting for those words for who knows how long.
"Kiss me." I stated.
His eyes widened in surprise at my words. "W-what?"
"Kiss me." I repeated.
His face leaned a bit closer to mine, leaving hardly an inch for me to change my mind. "Are you sure about this?" he whispered.
I closed the gap between us in response, pressing my lips against his. I wrapped my arms around his neck and felt them smile into the kiss and then pull away, catching our breath.
Suddenly, we heard whispering from the field next to us, and saw Tommy staring at us in disgust. My eyes widened, knowing what was going to happen next was going to be certainly interesting.
"TUBS! Y/N AND RAN FUCKING KISSED! OH GOD, MY EYES! MY EYES!" Tommy yelled back to Phil and the rest of the group. I rolled my eyes and laughed.
"Cool, I guess- WAIT, WHAT?" Tubbo yelled back. Ran covered his face with his hands in embarrassment.
This is definitely a story to tell.

Honestly, when it comes to canon, I feel like the “WillCare” theory is way too overlooked and despised in the fandom. For those who don't know: “WillCare” is the theory that William actually cared for his family, and many believe that, well.. He didn't. My point is, such surface-level overview of a character's psychology is just... Wrong. When it comes to villainous characters, people just LOVE to exaggerate their recklessness and carelessness, like “oh yeah he doesn't care about anyone or anything cuz he's so cold and cool and stuff 🤪”, and that's just an understanding of a character so dry it genuinely makes me sad. I mean, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I've seen people literally getting attacked for not agreeing to William being a literal heartless monstrosity
In my opinion, Afton is (OBVIOUSLY) affected by a mental illness, which makes him less empathetic and more risky with his decisions which leads to him displaying serious neglect towards people he should care about
He does not know right and wrong, exposing his family to danger he doesn't see as “that serious”, and he often prioritizes minor victories in his passion over them, which, obviously, creates an appearance of a heartless person, but could actually be a result of him just being... Unstable. Ill.
When it comes to people who are ill, you can't just choose one side of a spectrum and proclaim you're correct. When trying to prove their point, i've seen a lot of people say something like “he did (bad thing), (bad thing) and (bad thing), obviously he doesn't care about anyone! But don't bring up (that one thing where he displayed actual care) because it's overshadowed by the amount of the bad deeds”
Why not take valid arguments into account? The relationships of a character is not some rock-concrete “yes or no” question, it's not “one or the other”, and I think many people fail to understand that. For example, if William actually did not care about anyone, why would he continuously tell Elizabeth not to go to Circus Baby? What would be the point of that? If he did not care what child would be the test subject of the kidnapping mechanism, why care if it's Elizabeth or not? In fact, if it was her, it would be even beneficial to him, as nobody would question his innocence as the owner of the restaraunt if it was his child that dissapeared, and it would be just one less mouth to feed. You can't just leave that out as “inferior” to the arguments that prove his horribleness. Why would he organize a birthday party at his restaraunt for the Crying Child if he did not care? And, when it comes to the movie, why would William give away personal belongings of the victims, his “trophies”, to his daughter? Why would he care to make his kid happy with yet another toy if he could just keep it somewhere, hidden? I think it's obvious he viewed his children as his children, just very negligently exposing them to danger and hurting them with his experiments or his blind devotion to his work. When he stabs Vanessa, you can see a moment of thought and regret in his eyes – which is, of course, just a speculation, but adds to the point.
I feel like people just hate the assumption of Afton being actually human with human feelings, which are, surprise-surprise!, complex, and complexity is what makes a good character. You don't need a character to be literal Satan to be considered a worthy villain, and accepting their humane characteristics does not equal justification for their wrongs. In fact, if you cannot consider a character a villain if they're not the incarnation of evil in their every aspect, it's possible that you find any positive or neutral feature of theirs a worthy excuse that cancels out their every wrongdoing and makes them “less of an antagonist”, which puts your understanding of right and wrong to the question.
Just to be clear, I am not trying to attack anyone in this post, I am not seeking to start an argument – all I'm saying is, if you take EVERYTHING into account, it is false to decide on just one part of a character's behaviour and call it absolute. You should be equally accepting of all opinions and not start unnecessary fights on the internet because somebody thinks differently. Be nice spread love
btw guys english is not my mother language don't question my wording I don't know what I'm saying either

AITA for not talking to my childhood friend after she falsely accused me of trash talking her?
I (16F) have been friends with Jane (16F) since 4th grade. We've been pretty close, and even our moms have been good friends.
Now, Jane has had some bad experiences with past friendships which causes her to automatically assume the worst in people and misinterpret what people say to her. This only increased over covid when we briefly lost touch due to online schooling and our classes being shuffled. She was medically diagnosed with anxiety last year as well.
This year, I've already heard a shit ton of rants about my other friends and how everyone is mean to her. This seems a little exaggerated to me, but I never tell her so and instead always patiently hear her out. I try to be supportive, but sometimes the things she tells me sound outright ridiculous.
An example of this is an experience she supposedly had with my friend Raya (16F) who is also in our class. According to her, Raya challenged her friendship with me and passed mean comments about her. This seemed quite out of character to me since Raya is a total introvert and struggles to make conversation with anyone, let alone bullying people. (I later learnt she actually brought the topic of our friendship up to strike conversation with Jane and try to befriend her since I am their common link)
All of these accounts on Jane's part felt suspicious to me, which I did not express, but left alone, knowing she was probably just misinterpreting others' words. However, I did often wonder if Jane ever made up such incidents about me and shared them with any of her other close friends. This was another sentiment I ignored.
Recently, I came back home to a very angry mother. Upon asking why she was mad, I found out that Jane had cried to her mom after school saying that she overheard me say mean things about her to my classmates. I had not done any such thing, so I obviously denied the allegations.
When I asked what exactly I had done, details were given to me sparingly. Not only was I unaware of what I said to cause such a reaction in Jane, but also she had posted about it online. Though she had not taken my name in the posts, I felt very attacked considering the circumstances.
My mother kept insisting I go talk to her, but I found it unreasonable to "patch up things with her" when I had never done anything wrong to begin with. I'm kept in the dark about whatever possible misunderstanding could've happened and I'm just supposed to go talk about it when she didn't have the guts to even specify what I did?
I didn't talk to her for around 5 days following this incident. Today Jane came up to me trying to "get over it" saying she missed me, still refusing to tell me what I'd even done. I've acted friendly so far, and I've tried to cooperate with her mental issues, but this whole situation is making me rethink our friendship. She's pretending that nothing happened, but the whole ordeal makes me wanna distance myself from her.
Sorry if I missed any details, it's a quarter past midnight and I am very sleep deprived.
tl;dr my childhood friend with anxiety accused me of trash talking her and refused to elaborate when I asked about it, so I just ignored her for a few days
What are these acronyms?

Hullo! I’m seven-gill (also written as 7gill). If you want, you can call me Seven or Sev. I’m also known as MelonHarvest on DeviantArt (https://www.deviantart.com/melonharvest). You can use whatever pronouns you want.
What’s a seven-gill? It’s a type of shark! Although I’m specifically referring to the Broadnose sevengill shark (Notorynchus cepedianus).
This blog is primarily focused on my artwork, so (at the time of me typing this) I don’t really plan on reblogging anything unless I really want to share it. If you wanna see stuff I think is cool, check out my likes page.
I post whatever, whenever, but as of now my primary output is fanart for the young-adult fantasy series Wings of Fire by Tui T. Sutherland. I've been a fan of it for over 10 years, but admittedly I've grown out of the actual books themselves (I stopped after The Poison Jungle). Even if I don't read them anymore, I love to draw the characters anyway! It's fun :)
I’m also really into marine life and the ocean in general. Specifically the weirder, deeper residents. I’m actually curating a list of interesting aquatic (or semi-aquatic) organisms, so if there’s one you’d like to share, PLEASE DO!!! I want to see them so badly, even if it’s already on my list (currently 300+ entries strong). I’d type out my other interests, but you can probably gauge them from my posts/likes.
As a disclaimer, I am over 18 years old. I’d probably rate this blog PG13 because I may engage with posts featuring minor gore or non-sexualized nudity. If my artwork/posts ever feature any content of that nature I will provide a generous warning*, although I can assure you I will never post or like anything explicit (ie. pornography, graphic violence, etc..). I will not tolerate that here. My blog and likes are pretty tame and mostly PG. I bring this up because I’m aware some of my followers are minors, and I tend to post fanart for a series aimed at tweens and teens.
*This does not apply to my likes since I can’t provide a warning with each post. As an assurance, I very rarely like anything that features anything gross or risque. With that said, if any of that bothers you, proceed with caution.
Art
I use Autodesk Sketchbook and Procreate, plus an iPad and apple pencil to create my digital art. For traditional art I tend to go with acrylic paint or a good ol’ fashioned pencil. Whatever I feel like.
I do not do requests, commissions, or art trades at this time. HOWEVER, there’s a possibility that will change in the future. I will update this if that happens.
Please don’t repost my artwork to other platforms without my permission, thank you! I’ll probably say yes anyway. If you must, please remember to credit it to my Tumblr or DA account.
For my WoF art, I tend to favor a cartoonish style influenced by the 2D works of Disney/Dreamworks and AnimatedWings- a fan organized unofficial Wings of Fire animation project. Of course, I add my own flair. It’s an exaggerated, streamlined, expressive look that I find highly appealing, and I think it fits the anthropomorphic characterization of the dragons. I try to put emphasis on shapes, faces, colors, and silhouettes to keep the characters interesting and varied. I don’t always follow canon and may exaggerate characteristics with my own headcanons. I will admit that sometimes I can fall into an uncanny valley where the dragons look too human in the face, but I try to avoid that. I’m learning. Since I’m not animating these designs, I allow the dragons to be a little more complicated and detailed.
You are welcome to use/reference my designs for your own work. I’ve definitely taken my fair share of inspiration from others, especially AnimatedWings.

Okay so I’ve finished the game, here’s my spoiler free review:
This is possibly the best game I’ve ever played and I’m not kidding. Sure it has flaws, but they’re all fairly small and are vastly overshadowed by the quality of the game as a whole
The pacing is a little weird right at the beginning while everything gets introduced, but this settles down quickly and once it does it’s perfect for the rest of the game.
The stakes feel as high as they should, fighting gods. It feels like a challenge and never stops feeling like a challenge, and that makes your wins so much more satisfying
Your team is a team, and they’re as close to each other as they are to you. They aren’t just people all in the same place whos only connection is you, they help with each others personal quests, they have conversations in the lighthouse, they form meaningful connections with each other and your allies. They feel like real people and a cohesive team.
The side quests aren’t filler. Almost all of them are of vital importance either to the main plot or to your allies who are helping you. They all feel like they’re important enough to do while you’re dealing with the main story. I never once thought “why am I doing this shit, the worlds ending” and I don’t think I’d feel any desire to skip them on future playthroughs
You feel part of your faction. There are a couple of instances where I felt a little more reactivity to that would be good (I’m talking like maybe two times where they clearly didn’t bother to record an almost identical line to account for me being a part of the faction, nothing important), but for the most part you feel part of it and it really gives you a grounding in the world.
The emotional beats hit hard. There was a part where I actually sobbed. And I am not exaggerating. I do not mean I was a little sad. I mean I went through multiple tissues and had to have a break for a moment. I have never outright sobbed at a video game before
There were a few things that could have been better, I think a couple more choices should have carried over (though not as many as I thought before. I mean it would be nice, but not necessarily needed and the improvement wouldn’t necessarily justify the hassle of a whole worldstate system) but the absence of them wasn’t game ruining.
One of the character storylines felt a bit out of place, and another made a somewhat bizarre plot decision, but the rest were really good.
I also feel like the characterisation of the inquisitor could have been better, and I know it was never going to be right because BioWare can’t read our minds and make a game for each individual, but I did at one point start questioning if I’d set my world state up right because of what my inquisitor was saying (I had). But again this wasn’t game ruining, I can just pretend she said something else.
Despite a few very nitpicky problems, overall this was a really amazing game. I enjoyed every moment of it, and it was not the solavellan game I was worried it would be. Just about every criticism people had of inquisition they listened to and solved, from the villain being too weak to the filler “gather these shards” and “save a druffalo” quests being a bane on everyone’s existence. They took that all in and made a really strong game with it.
Also: you know when they kept dropping earth shattering revelations and called them “minor spoilers”. They were right. Holy shit were they right.

Today marks the 6th anniversary of Final Fantasy XV’s release, and though I started writing a brief tribute to the game over on Twitter, I quickly realized I had much more to say about today’s milestone than Twitter’s character limit would allow for.
So I came back to where it all started for me, here on Tumblr. That I could scarcely remember my password goes to show how regrettably I’ve neglected this account, despite the fact that XV still means a great deal to me. I wish I could say it was because I was more active on Twitter, but even over there I have struggled to post regular updates and engage with the XV community (which I am happy to report still has quite the active fanbase and has even seen some growth by my observations).
In truth, much of my identity has been defined by FFXV these past six years—for better or worse. It’s not an exaggeration to say XV changed the trajectory of my life; it landed in my lap immediately following the worst professional failure of my life, comforted me through the loss of a parent, and brought me in touch with people from around the globe, many of whom have become dear friends to me. My abilities as both a writer and an artist saw the kind of growth I never thought possible for myself. I got to play XV with Adam Croasdell in my own home, got to raise thousands of dollars for charity with the help of the XV cast and dozens of other artists, and I was able to support myself financially for the first time in my entire adult life through the sales of my art. In short, I owe everything from the last six years to Final Fantasy XV.
So as one might imagine, it caused somewhat of an identity crisis in me when the one thing that had brought me such joy began to no longer fuel my passion the way it had in years past. Call it burnout, call it depression, call it a sensitivity to the current events of the world, I don’t know—all I know is, something caused me to lose all motivation to work on anything. Where once I had felt like I had an ocean of inspiration I could tap into at any time, it suddenly felt like a dry well. Even today, my tablet sits mostly unused, waiting for the day that that spark returns.
It certainly is not because I have lost my love for XV. This game, which objectively is deeply flawed yet is somehow greater than the sum of its parts, still resides comfortably in my mind. I play a great deal of Final Fantasy XIV these days, which I enjoy very much and is arguably a better game in many ways, and yet it has not come close to capturing my muse the way XV did. I still have pipe dreams of streaming the entirety of XV on Twitch, not in one 24-hour session like I did for Extra Life Game Day in 2020, but slowly over the course of many weeks, exploring the game thoroughly and experiencing the journey with old and new viewers alike. And someday, I vow to roll back to an earlier patch so that I can unlock those unlockable Comrades trophies on PS4 and finally Platinum the game.
So anyway. That’s a lot of rambling haha. TL;DR: I still love XV, even if I can’t express that love through content the way I used to. I still hope to produce a few pieces here and there, and if I do, you know where to find me. (And if you don’t, you can find me here, here, and here.) Happy Anniversary, XV. As always, you guys... are the best. ♡

⊱────────────────────⊰
Davis liked watching Ellis when she wasn't looking.
To Lance, it felt creepy on Davis' part, but he didn't see it that way. He found it romantic, a testament to the yearning, the infatuation he'd developed for this one girl he just happened to meet during a joint event between Night Raven and Royal Sword.
He tried, genuinely— he tried to hold off on whatever he began to feel for Ellis. He cursed himself in the mirror every morning for every failed attempt to lose sight of those… feelings.
Davis hated that he loved Ellis. But what he hated more was how oblivious Ellis seemed to be for the feelings that harbored his cold, black heart.
After yet another attempt at forgetting the feelings he felt for Ellis by sparring with Roya — and losing — Davis slumped his shoulders, sitting with Lance during their lunch break and lazily chewing on his french fries with ink black ketchup.
Lance's nose wrinkled at the sight, but didn't comment further. Instead, what he chose to comment on was, “you should really channel your romantic feelings into actually pursuing Miss Clawthorne, instead of…”
He made a vague gesture to Roya, who was acting disgustingly lovesick while writing one of the many, many, many letters he's been sending to some ‘Gwendolyn Schnee’ for the past 2 weeks. Whoever that was.
Davis scoffed, eyes rolling back. “I don't like Ellis.”
“I have many reasons to doubt that,” Lance grumbled, taking one of Davis' fries and tossing them into his mouth. “You aren't exactly subtle.”
“And you are as horrible at flirting as Roya,” Davis snapped, then a beat passed before he added, “... Possibly worse.”
Lance didn't bother to comment on that, either. Coward.
“I'm just saying, shouldn't you at least… give courting her a shot?”
“And why,” Davis' amber hues stared daggers at the boy he calls little brother, “would I do that?”
“You definitely seem to like her a great deal.”
“I do not.”
That got him Lance's most exaggerated eye roll, and a click of his tongue. “Why must you put your pride before everything else…”
“What was that, little brother?” Davis sent him a sharp-edged smile, a warning.
Lance knew the man his older brother was. Stubborn as he may be, if he sees potential competition for something… someone he seems his, he'll play the role of the competitor.
The only thing that put Lance out of his bored, frankly tired state of mind was the text he received from a certain siren he held near and dear to his heart.
⊱───────────────⊰
It was a bit of (not a bit of) a controversial topic for Davis to admit, so he never actually voiced his thoughts aloud… but if he was being completely honest with himself, he did not like Malleus Draconia.
He already had a number of reasons to dislike the crown prince of Briar Valley; it seemed to hurt Davis' pride at the obvious revelation that in a world like Twisted Wonderland, there will always be someone more gifted, more powerful than he could even fathom.
He didn't see the point in Malleus wanting to study amongst the ‘lowly mortals’ of Night Raven College when, by Davis' account, Malleus was more gifted than most of the entire academy. If it were him, he wouldn't have attended an arcane academy to begin with, if he had even a sliver of the power that emitted from Malleus’ being.
But now, as of recently, Davis had now discovered a new reason to dislike the soon-to-be ruler of the abyss— his closeness in relation to Ellis.
How petty, below my station, Davis thought, biting his tongue before one of his snarky opinions let loose and wreaked havoc while he and the rest of RSA were paying a visit to Night Raven College.
He watched Ellis and Malleus share some small talk, most of which consisted of Malleus making some mundane joke Davis couldn't hear from this distance, and Ellis laughing along with him.
Whether or not she was doing it out of pity or not, Davis didn't know. And he pretended that he didn't care.
Oh, but seeing the smiles they gave one another… the playfulness in which their conversation seemed to shift back and forth in an endless cesspool of affectionate filth…
To say Davis wanted to punch a hole through Draconia’s chest was an understatement.
So, one could say with utmost confidence that when Malleus most unfortunately had to leave Ellis to her own devices, that Davis automatically stole her away at the quickest opportunity.
If it was an understatement for Davis wanting to punch through Malleus' chest, it was just as, if not even more of an understatement when Lance decided to give his older brother the good-old-fashioned stink eye.
“It appears you are alone,” Davis said with an intonation that clearly suggested that his intentions were far from friendly.
Ellis hummed. “You're in a cheerier mood since the last time we talked…”
He chuckled at her skepticism. “What, is it wrong for me to smile every once in a while?”
“No,” Ellis quickly deflected that assumption with a flick of her wrist, “but it's definitely not something I'd see everyday… then again, I don't really see you everyday, either.”
“Why?” Davis began to tease, “do you wish to see me more often?”
Ellis deadpanned. “That isn't what I said.”
“Well, it sounded like it.”
“But just because it did, doesn't mean I meant it.”
“Oh, you wound me dearly, Princess…” Davis sent her a pout. “Do you truly detest being in my company that much?”
“What I detest,”— she said with crossed arms, her voice mimicking, mocking the intonation of arrogance that dripped from Davis—“is being in the vicinity of someone who so clearly doesn't have any good intentions, whatsoever.”
Davis scoffed melodramatically loudly. “Oh, how quaint! The representative of the common folk is speaking up against a man of higher station.”
“So it would seem.” Ellis harrumphed, turning her heel and making her way further from Davis.
“I guess I was right to guess your status was at the level of your high horse!”
Davis sighed to himself as she walked further and further away from his line of sight, then childishly stomped on his foot at how dreamily he'd done it.
He turned a corner, his eyes darting about the room until he caught sight of his little brother having idle chitchat with… some girl.
He heard Lance clear his throat, uttering the words, “you smell like saltwater,” and making Davis — and Marina — grimace at how… questionable Lance's choice of words were.
Then again, Davis thought, striding towards Lance, my baby brother was never a man of many words.
“I… smell like saltwater,” Marina repeated, blinking more than once to try and process that she definitely heard him right. That she wasn't hallucinating.
Lance seemed to realize at how poorly he'd chosen his words and was ready to try and explain himself, when all of a sudden Davis had strode past him and Marina, held a tight grip on Lance's forearm, and dragging him to one of the darker corners of the room.
“Wha-” Lance yanked his arm from his brother's grasp. “What are you doing-?”
“That thing.” Well, that didn't seem to narrow it down.
Lance narrowed his eyes. “What thing?”
“That thing you mentioned to me, the other day.”
“The- The courtship…?”
Davis snapped his fingers to shut him up, which suggested that that was, in fact, what Davis meant.
“By the Seven…” it was impossible for Lance to hide his exasperation for his brother's antics.
“Please don't tell me you're going to treat it like a competition.”
“Pffft-” Davis held in his chortle. “Oh please, even if it were, I'd win.”
“Ellis isn't a prize to be won.”
“You think I don't know that?”
“If you do know that, you wouldn't be treating her like some trophy you'll get after- What, pursuing her??”
With a flick of his fingers to Lance's forehead, Davis released a huff. “Oh, worry not about such dilly-dallying nonsense, dearest little brother of mine.”
“It can't be that hard, can it?”
⊱───────────────⊰
It was, in fact, harder than he'd originally anticipated.
With the vastness of the Lucretius family's wealth, Davis could spend as much of it as possible and he could get away with it… as long as he does it under the guise of an important investment.
He wasn't too worried about trying to figure out what Ellis wanted. With the circumstances of her living situation, at first, Davis had thought about buying her some essentials so she could live less like a street rat living in a hobo hut.
… Until he saw the various ideas Roya had come up with for this “Gwendolyn Schnee” girl, and just went off of that.
And now, he was here; standing before Ellis, who sat on a bench in the main street of NRC, reading yet another one of her pretty little books.
Only this time, his attention was solely on her. Not the scenery, not her book— her.
Ellis looked up from her book, up at the man obscuring the light that allowed her to actually see what she was reading.
“To what do I owe this dubious honor?”
Davis snorted at her tone. “Owe it to the man calling himself your admirer.”
“You?” Ellis tilted her head, putting a bookmark on the page she was reading and setting her book down on her lap.
Davis flinched, grimacing. Well shit-
“No! God- No,” he said, laughing it off with a smug little smile on his face. “I am… simply relaying what he requested me to give you.”
Ellis blinked. “Really.”
“Really.”
“I never pegged you to be all that benevolent…”
“Wha-! I can be nice when I want to be!”
“So, you choose to have a stick up your…” Ellis trailed off, giving him her most dubious side eye.
… Cute, Davis admitted in the back of his mind.
After a moment of silence, Ellis sighed and extended her hand to Davis. “Well, I guess my curiosity's getting the best of me, once again. Bring in the ‘gift’, Davidson Novellion.”
There. He gave it to her. A keychain of a bouquet of pink roses, with her initials engraved in the back.
Quietly, there was some part of Davis that fretted over whether that gift was the right choice, or not. A part of him asked himself if this was even worth it.
But seeing that small, yet unexpected smile on Ellis' face seemed to be enough of an answer for him. A light shone over his darkness, glistening, glimmering in all its elysian glory; a safeness Davis hadn't felt around… anyone in a long time.
It made him smile, as well. And Ellis was quick enough to catch it, but didn't comment on. Better to accept this gift from an ‘anonymous’ admirer than to wound Davis Novellion’s pride.
“... I like it,” Ellis said, endearment cursing Davis' name. “Feel free to tell my secret admirer that I appreciate the sentiment.”
“I like keychains, so… it means a lot that they chose one for me. Even if it probably doesn't seem like much.”
Davis wanted to scoff at her, hold her by her chin and tell her that a keychain like that cost a lot. Platinum and an equally skilled artisan, to be exact.
With a clear throat, Davis replied. “Very well. I'm sure they'll be in high spirits knowing you liked such a gift.”
He very much was, in fact, in high spirits; quite possibly already thinking ahead of the different gifts he could give to her in the near future.
The two of them barely exchanged any words other than that, with Davis giving Ellis an uncharacteristic pat on the head, and walking off without another word… other than the defensive responses he began giving Lance after dragging him away from Marina.
And yet again, Ellis smiled. Bigger, brighter.
And it wasn't because of the keychain.

I've got Milo's World on the brain. I know I'm not alone in saying its such a good episode of Milo. It brilliantly highlights our main cast and how they perceive Milo and handle Murphy's Law. If there is any episode that I'd say gets across who the character's are its that one.
Neal is someone who doesn't know Milo very well yet, but wants to learn more. Milo's the little brother of the girl he likes, and him and his condition are important to Sara (and informs who she is). Neal's a nice guy, if a little unaccustomed to it like everyone else is (not unlike Zack in the first few episodes), whose finding out about Murphy's Law as someone who wants to get used to it being in his life. He's going into this knowing full well it's possible to deal with, has seen what it's capable of, but whose first experience with it was largely positive.
So it's fitting that as the second newest to all this Zack shares his perspective. All things considered Zack answers the question directly just with a little embellishment. How does Milo handle Murphy's Law? He handle's it with the power of his backpack. Zack's assessment of Milo as a Wizard is pretty accurate all things considered. He says he's a Wizard "without all the wizardy stuff" and when describing him, basically just focuses on that he's got a backpack that holds everything. And by all accounts, cartoon logic is fully in play and he holds stuff that shouldn't be held in there. It is literally a bag of holding. He's not wrong. He also uses Wizardy in the sense of someone who takes a wide variety of mundane supplies to work wonders. Melissa, asserts that a Wizard without the wizard stuff, isn't really a wizard it literally is just Milo, which I think demonstrates how literal and close to reality Zack's interpretation is. Zack's just describing Milo but he's using particularly flowery language (which matches his character mind you). Sara also backs him up later on the wizardy thing, without even known about what Zack had said. While first she just shares her assessment that Milo is just a person, he's just got a condition, and a particular personality type. She finishes it up with the potential of him being magic. It's clear she's not saying that to be taken seriously. But she does acknowledge him as impressive. But Milo describes her with that same language, for doing the same kind of thing that he's doing. And she accepts the descriptor and returns it. Showing that the use of that sort of supernatural descriptions applied to him, at least coming from his family and friends, is not very othering, but rather a form of praise. He's impressive, because he does that as he is. Not because he has any sort of power.
Melissa's assessment of Milo being a robot, while untrue, does demonstrate an understanding, if exaggerated, about how Milo lives. He's familiar with things due to experience, and is able to come up with solutions due to experience (the very first episode highlights how Milo's experiences inform his solutions, when he has the route memorized because it has happened before. I also think the Llama incident). He is a bit more physically capable than the average person, due to all the near death experiences, and due to those experiences is quick to notice problems and act, which could make him seem more like a robot. But even if she thought Milo might be a robot, she doesn't seem to have every dehumanized him for that (which tracks considering she and all the kids see CIDD as a person). It's another piece of Melissa's story, from cautiously curious about Milo, to thinking he's the coolest, to wanting to help him deal with Murphy's Law, to understanding its a part of who he is… and maybe taking advantage of it as it. But despite her understanding being relatively close to reality to begin with all things considered, by the present, she immediately agrees with Bradley that thinking he was a robot was ridiculous, (and in the next episode vehemently emphasizes that he isn't a robot to Doof). She may have started with a viewpoint of seeing him as something other, but cool and worthy of friendship, but has grown to recognize him as her best friend, a kid just like her whose just as worthy as teasing too. Even her wildest ideas of who Milo is aren't far off, and she knows that understanding is wrong. She contentiously emphasizes how ridiculous everyone's stories are and tries to shut them down. Not that far off from Sara, whose brief description of Milo focused on him being like everyone else. Highlighting how well Melissa knows Milo, and understanding that rivals his family.
Bradley is the perfect character to counter Neal's genuine desire to understand Milo with a misleading story about who Milo is, describing him as a villain. I reiterates the perspective Bradley has on Milo and his role as Milo's psuedo-foil. Bradley believes that Milo's an attention hog who takes all the attention away from him. He describes Milo with the worst possible language. Villain instead of show off or attention hog. And it's not that he's wrong… technically in the sense that all Milo does is clean up the messes he caused (even if it's more complicated than that), and doesn't get punished and even gets praised for it some times. That said, I do want to be clear that it still kind sucks to be Milo to have to clean up the messes that he doesn't directly cause. And people are rude to him about it. It's just Bradley who mostly sees him at school surrounded by generally accommodating classmates and staff (and also refuses to acknowledge truth's unless it fits his viewpoint) doesn't see that. But ultimately he doesn't describe Milo to be doing anything he isn't he just phrases it in a way that makes Milo seem bad. It foils Zack's (and later Sara's) description of Milo as a wizard, not in the sense they believe him to be more than what he is but that they apply positive language to him because they see him in a positive light. It's only fitting that Sara shows up around this time to mildly put Bradley in his place. Sara who knows Murphy's Law as a force, not something tied only to Milo and whose probably spent her life causally shutting down people needlessly rude to her family. Side note: Sara knows Bradley and his personal Milo beef, but generally speaking, she along with everyone else doesn't care enough about Bradley to really take his beef with Milo seriously just, calling him petty and ignoring his feelings. Which ironically the dismissal of his importance is exactly the beef that he has with Milo being the center of attention. (Even if they're dumb… like Carla… probably says something that he got that attached to something that literally couldn't reciprocate his attention.)
Anyway too much Bradley. Mort's Mort (has his head in the clouds and is big into spirituality), who does generally like Milo. But also doesn't really have a lot to say about how he thinks he lives his life. (Though we do see him dismissing Murphy's Law to blame for things going wrong blaming a blocked chakra instead... self centered but in a positive way?) And Chad's Chad. Dramatic, easily manipulated a fan of conspiracies who does. We see Chad spend a lot of time conspiring about Mr. Drako, more than anyone in class. So it does reason that he thinks about Milo too. But, it does show that rather than actually getting to know Milo, he comes up with conspiracies and explanations not based in truth. It is especially egregious. While Chad doesn't dislike Milo, and generally sees him as a person, he's the only one to straight up get facts about how Milo lives wrong, the only one to deny the existence of Murphy's Law instead of simply taking Milo's word for it. He comes up with a conspiracy about Milo's backpack with exactly NO evidence. Something that Zack and Melissa never really questioned, and that they (and we the audience) actually do know the real story behind. Chad is like Bradley in focusing on what information fits what he wants to be true, rather than actually getting to know Milo. (Also bigfoot continues to be of dubious canonicity, never actually appears despite things like Klimpaloon and Santa existing, has an episode dedicated to him. Apparently has a cousin who lives in the tri-state area (but that's dubious for a couple reasons).
Sara doesn't really have a story about Milo. She commentates on Bradley's, dismissing him and providing some insight into Milo's genuine perspective (the idea of cleaning down). Clarifies that Milo is just an ordinary kid (like how Melissa's been shutting down all the unusual stories), and backs up Zack's description of him as a Wizard. She also demonstrates an understanding of Murphy's Law by helping him out with it herself, even if he was supposed to be helping her. To her, Milo isn't "Milo the great" or "Milo the villain" or "Milo who sees dead people", but Milo her "little bro". They're siblings who are alike where it counts. They're both wizardy. Murphy's Law, while manifesting differently in their lives, colors both of them and isn't what makes him unique, so much as how he handles it. Milo is a whole person, and at no point in her life would she have mentally broken him down into such a box, no matter how fancy the box.
It's also interesting how NONE of the stories account for the fact Murphy's Law is a genetic condition, passed from father to son, despite all of them having met Martin (except Neal). None of them account for the fact that Milo isn't alone in this. Chad doesn't bring up how Martin might also see dead people. Bradley doesn't take any time to villainize Martin, or view Martin as an example of someone who has Murphy's Law but isn't a villain. Because he doesn't deal with him. Milo's life beyond what they see, beyond what effects them, might as well not exist to them. Melissa's robot thing wouldn't make any sense but she admitted as such. And Sara just brushed of the question, and Zack was just being dramatic in answering Neal's question by likening how Milo handle's Murphy's Law to an RPG but wasn't literal.
Milo showing up in the end. Just doing his thing same as always, not as a Wizard, or Robot, or a schemer, or a exorcist. Just being himself, and impressive for who is is, not what the coolest explanation is.
Also the last viewpoint shows the most important thing that Milo is. Diogee's treat dispenser/go home orderer.

Has anyone ever tried telling you "eggman probably isn't as evil as you think" If so, how did you respond?
Side note. I really appreciate your account. We need more people who embrace Eggman as the irredeemable monster he is.
Yes, often and well they're either coming from a place of not being knowledgeable enough about Eggman and overlook all his crimes, or it's a case where they turn a blind eye because they don't want to believe he's actually that evil because it's not to their tastes and makes them uncomfortable. And I get it but it doesn't change the facts. I enjoy getting to help people learn the solid unbiased facts about game canon Eggman, by bringing up all the canon examples of what makes him such a terrible person and try to note as many of his actions as possible that prove he really is that evil.
Being a totalitarian fascist dictator who wants to own the world and strip freedom and free will away, a war criminal who causes mass destruction and is willing to commit genocide, will try to kill anyone who gets in his way even children as young as 6-8, has been sexist, will manipulate/gaslight and abuse people and animals in various ways and enjoy it, wants to build intentionally dangerous theme parks that can kill people in brutal ways as we hear all about in Colors, and knows he's evil and acknowledges it proudly and revels in it is the most evil of evil!
We've seen many examples that show just how low he'll stoop and he hasn't been known to have a single limit in canon, besides things that get the entire planet and himself destroyed so he can't rule it, obviously. Besides that purely selfish reason, he isn't shown to have any good morally based limits and doesn't show any hesitance or remorse for his actions, despite clearly being fully aware that he's the bad guy doing the bad thing, calling it evil with glee. He's ranged from completely apathetic towards the evil he commits to downright sadistic as he smirks cheekily and laughs through it!
Those aren't actions to be downplayed or overlooked, they're important traits that define his character and are involved by countless significant plot points, including his whole motivation and methods in his plans. They're the very things that establish him as a villain and a threat in the first place. It's what puts the "evil" in "Ivo (ee-vo)." He's not the villain and not the Eggman, or even the same character at all without it, I'm not even exaggerating. But yeah point is, if someone is to deny or ignore all these intentionally or not, then they're not gonna think he's as evil as I say he is. XD
From my experience, they haven't been able to provide solid proof and evidence, nothing I couldn't disprove with my own stacks of evidence taken right from the games, if they do have any they claim to be at all. Because a lot of the things I see that they tend to try to use are things that actually prove my own point instead, when looking at them in actual context and what they really mean. So what I'd also do is debunk anything they try to use to attest to the idea that he's really that evil of a guy, using those very same things they're trying to use for their statements and much more.
I really like having sensible discussions and debates where I get to put all my heavy passionate research and analysis to use but I don't really get the chance very often because people take it the wrong way. I think if people didn't take disagreements as so hostile, we could be having some really interesting discussions. Like sure, when someone says "Eggman isn't as evil as you think" I'm like "ah hell no, no way lol" but I'm not angry or insulting, I'd just like to discuss why I disagree and share some of the reasons why, which are based in fact. I encourage others to do it to me too.
Anyway, these are usually the points I bring up when I do get the chance. Then I ready all my tons of excerpts and sources right from the games explicitly written into the text, and with some further analysis adhering to that knowledge, and sometimes additional creator commentary that's solidly backed up by the game canon as a bonus. People I've talked to have been upset by being asked for sources but I'm always passionate about gathering all my sources the second someone asks because I'm like finally I get to do something with all this information lol
Thank you so much! I'm really happy you enjoy my stuff. :D I'm just super passionate about gushing over, analyzing, and educating over how Eggman is a lovable nasty evil bastard man and I'm really happy that I'm not alone, I have so much fun making the posts and to know that y'all enjoy it too makes it even better. Here we love and embrace this handsome horrible man always and I'm delighted for you to join me in it. We make fine loyal members of the Eggman Empire for it hehe 💜

The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 26. Demon
Day 26. Demon Crossover: The Owl House You're wrong, Luz. This is Earth. Just a very, very strange and specific piece of Earth. Yes, this is the exit door from BATIM. Now you know why there was such a strange light coming from them X"D
It was even fun to draw, although I was very hesitant to do it, which became even more intense just before colouring (which I will tell you about in a moment). The premise was that Luz opened a portal to the Workshop during her attempts to recreate the Portal Doors - this is the period in which King was searching for his father (and didn't know who he was). By the way, this also explains how Bendy managed to get out of the Studio, breaking the curse, and went on his tour around the multiverse :D
And now it will be less fun. I've had a really bad panic attack and anxiety in the last twenty-four hours - and for a while I didn't want to post anything else. Never. And it all started with a short exchange of comments under picture Day 23. Contraband on dA (screenshot here). It doesn't seem like anything (I tried to make it a joke, but then they blocked me), but I checked this person's account and discovered that they were publishing other people's works there (mainly from Twitter and Pinteres). I don't know if it was with their consent, but it seems to me that if they have consent to it, they should still include information about the original author of the work in the description of the image (I'm not even saying that it would be perfect to provide a link to the original work), and this is not the case does. If it weren't for the fact that some of the works have watermarks or signatures of the original authors, you might think that the guy draws themself - nowhere does they state that this is the case, but they comments on the pictures as if they were their author. Plus as I said earlier, they blocked me before i could ask about these (probably stolen) arts. Why did it make me anxious and paranoid? Well, 'cause I am very, very afraid of my works being stolen. I'm not very popular, so there's little chance of this happening - and I usually don't remember such things happening. Sometimes I feel anxiety when I find my arts on Pinterest or strange websites with pictures - I didn't give permission for that. This person, however, reminded me of it with their indignation that how do I have the right not to have a picture of Owl House when the search engine returned it as Owl House. As I say, I was ready to give up further work not only on Ink Demonth (especially since, as you can see, this entry is about Owl House, on which that person clearly has an unhealthy fixation), but also any work that I had post on dA or tumblr. I blocked them on dA, but cannot block myself for them in the whole internet, right? First of all, my paranoia resulted in me blocking the visibility of my tumblr for people who are not logged in, I'm also trying to do something like that for dA, but I don't think it's possible. I don't know where I'll end up with my paranoia - but my friends have made a lot of effort to convince me that everything is ok. Finally, I decided to post this picture and I'll probably upload other Ink Demonth entries at last. I hope I won't regret it :c But I'm afraid and I don't know if after finishing the Ink Demonth challenge I won't give up (for some time or forever) publishing my drawings on the Internet. I wanted you to know. It's bad. My anxiety doesn't necessarily make sense - but it has huge consequences.
My paranoia brought another bad thing. Although I really liked the show The Owl House and was looking forward to the translation and dubbing of the next season in my country (the one that takes place on Earth) - I'm not waiting for it anymore. To be honest, I'm sick of it and feel anxious just looking at the characters of the show. Here look, how can a bad fandom ruin even the coolest thing :/ Someone will say that I am exaggerating. YES I KNOW. But that's how my fucked up, full of illnes mind works and I have no influence on it.
I didn't want such a monologue under this art. I wanted to write here which characters I like and who I'm shipping with whom - but right now... well. No. Sorry.
I just want to have the joy of creating again…

First I was glad to see some nice fanarts of the brothers Karamazov but then like usual with artists on the internet (from west and ch/jp/kr especially) you need to draw and be involved in mlm and even worst, an incest and nsfw one. Why are you using relationship of works like this ? We can't have anymore platonic or family relationship without some people like you who needs to use for romantic one. Have you ever wondered if the author would like to see his characters shown in these type of positions? Do you have any respect for his work and him ? I can understand you don't have any religion but where the line is for you ? Stop for a minute and ask yourself is it the right thing to do ? This is because of this type of fanarts that now we don't any more relationships in a work other than romantic one. Bc even there is some there will always someone who will use it to show them in some sexual or romantic positions. But God knows how sweet it is to have a relation with a sibling, a parent, a same gender friend, someone you respect without involving sexual desires.
God protect us from a society of (young) people who grow up on internet without any advice or protection and think that these shippings is the norm and okay. Do not complain then that there is so much incest and sexual harassments. You will be held responsible for your acts.
First of all, thank you for recognizing my work, and sorry that some of my work has given you a bad experience.
I must say that when I was drawing TBK homoerotic fanwork I expected that posting these works would bring controversy, so I didn't post more aggressive pictures on my main account, and as an audience of other people's artwork, I also have my own disliked works of art and disliked artists, so I can understand your feelings. In the future when I post these works I will think more about some audiences' opinions and feelings, and I will also think about the content again and post more warnings. I'll also think about whether the platform is appropriate for posting the content or not.
But as a creator of artworks, I cannot accept your exaggerated comments about the impact of my work on others, nor can I accept that I can ignore the morbid content in TBK and choose to not express these possibilities, and more importantly as a content creator, I have the natural right to draw whatever I want, even if it is questioned or criticized.
Thank you for your comment anyway.
